The Veneer Bonding Process
Before permanently bonding the veneer to your tooth, your dentist will place it temporarily to check for proper fit and color. He or she may remove the veneer repeatedly to make adjustments until the veneer is perfected. Your dentist will clean, polish, and etch your tooth to ensure a strong bond. Finally, the veneer is fitted permanently using a special type of cement. A light beam is applied to activate chemicals in the cement that help it harden quickly.
